Bolshevism is to be reckoned with mohammedanism rather than with christianity and buddhism. Christianity and buddhism are primarily personal religions, with mystical doctrines and a love of contemplation. Mohammedanism and bolshevism are practical, social, unspiritual, concerned to win the empire of the world.
Some people get the impression that buddhism talks too much about suffering. In order to become prosperous, a person must initially work very hard, so he or she has to sacrifice a lot of leisure time. Similarly, the buddhist is willing to sacrifice immediate comfort so that he or she can achieve lasting happiness.
If science proves some belief of buddhism wrong, then buddhism will have to change. In my view, science and buddhism share a search for the truth and for understanding reality. By learning from science about aspects of reality where its understanding may be more advanced, i believe that buddhism enriches its own worldview.
There is a true feminist movement in buddhism that relates to the goddess tr. Following her cultivation of bodhicitta, the bodhisattva's motivation, she looked upon the situation of those striving towards full awakening and she felt that there were too few people who attained buddhahood as women. So she vowed, 'i have developed bodhicitta as a woman. For all my lifetimes along the path i vow to be born as a woman, and in my final lifetime when i attain buddhahood, then, too, i will be a woman.'
